Natural Bio-tape for Cories
Natural Bio-tape for Cories
Hi there,
Does anyone have any pictures or suggestions for a natural bio-tape for cories and some Amazon fishes (such as cardinals, rummy-noses, etc)??
Thanks in advance.

Hm....corys natural habitat would be a soft acid environment. Native plants include Cabomba and Elodea. Include bogwood and rocks. Substrate should mainly be sand, but you could mix with some gravel if you like.
Amazonian fishes include Discus, Neon or Cardinal tetras, Angelfish. That's all i can think of atm.
P:S: I'm not sure if its your typo erros, but its bio-tope...not bio-tape.
Hope i helped a bit

You will find Corydoras in a range of environments from almost stagnant streams to quite fast flowing rivers, I personally set them up in an aquarium that is well planted at one end with bogwood towards the other, silica sand substrate and medium intensity lighting.
I find they are more active with floating plants shading at least a half of the aquarium.
