Mis-sold as a cuckoo catfish?

I bought 4 synos which were labelled up as S.Multipunctatus about 8 months ago. they were half an inch long and I had only read about them. A recent trip to Colchester zoo where they had real cuckoos showed that mine definitely weren't (not even hybrids. Does anybody know what the are?

This is a hybrid.

I have one that looks very, very similar and it is a hybrid. :)
