As above... please advise.
I've seen some habrosus with a band across the body instead of the 3 spotches... And is there any other ways other than the 3 spotch for habrosus and 5 for cochui???
Question on how to differentiate Cochui with Habrosus

The difference between C. cochui and C. habrosus is quite clear once you see bothe fish.
C. cochui male

C. habrosus female

The markings of C. habrosus can be quite variable, the first blotch near the head can be small just extending over two scutes, or as large as it will extend as far back as the adipose fin and be quite broad. The caudal peduncle and central blotches are alway present and can also be variabl but not to the same extent as the first blotch.
