Angelicus might have fungus?

Post by rfb »

The other day I noticed that my Angelicus was swimming with his head up to th top of the tank. This is not out of line I have seen him before doing this but it was the length of time he did it that got me,I then noticed the small patch of white on his side there are also spots of missing skin,or better said no black in areas.I am not sure of this diagnosis and my computer does not accept my camera,so the picture is not an option. This fish was a gift so I want to keep him as it was a hell of a gesture from the lfs.The lfs also says that I am not to really worry about it,to monitor it and see how it is going.
I have been using melafix to this point as it is something that I can use without stressing him with removal, something that I dont like to do as I finally got the tank to where I want it.Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks.[/i]

He sounds stressed and potentially injured. What else is in with him? Do they all have comfy hiding spots so they aren't bickering with each other for the "best" one?

he is in with several syno and seems to get along with all of them, the only addition is the Shoutendendi(hope I got that right)There are tons of rocks in the tank I have only seen one thing that sems to be aggressive toward him and that has been when the fueleborni went after him and that is it.I have checked the water and it is ok so I am not concerned with that.I have tons of more rock to use if need be to add hiding spots for him,and have a 20 gallon for him to go if need be but would that not be to small for him.I have got loaches in the tank and have heard that might be a problem. He is eating as normal and has energy but it is the marking on the side that is as you say probably from stress.Do you think that I should put him in the smaller tank?
