My L333s spawned about a month ago. I noticed he didn't have a problem coming out to eat once I shut the lights out in the tank or have trouble keeping the others away from his cave while he ate. Most of the fry are out, he's got a couple hanger onners but all are looking fat and healthy and doing fine even with other adults in the tank.
I'd just like to know if there is some parameters that would make it hard for eggs to hatch?
The reason I'm asking, even though he has a couple little ones still hanging on in his cave, and is 1/2 through another dry season, he's got a female trapped and is NOT letting her out. The TDS are back up to my regular tap water parameters and the tanks is looking bad since I haven't changed water yet this week. I was going to move the adults and start a rainy season this weekend since the tank is just too small for that many fish. Now this...
I'm still going to start a rain, since last time a nice cool water change seemed to get them going. I'm just wondering if I can bring the TDS down enough to be good for the eggs to hatch.
I find this fascinating! I didn't think they would be quite so easy to keep going.
Any insight would be appreciated! (I am keeping track of all this in my fish logs.)
