There's an interesting paper in Zootaxa on new records of "common plecs" in the Philippines. It identifies them as Pterygoplichthys pardalis and disjunctivus and gives tips on ID. Apparently, pardalis has spots on the abdomen while disjunctivus has squiggles. I think some of the pardalis in the Catelog might actually be disjunctivus in that case.
Is Pterygoplicthys the currently valid genus for these two now? I thought they were still considered Liposarcus.

Armbruster considers Liposarcus and Glyptoperichthys to be the synonyms of Pterygoplichthys.
