whiptail in 15 gallon tank..

will it be ok to breed whiptail in 15 gallon tank?
or is a 15 gallon too small?

i'm not really sure what species mine is...
but they are about 3 inches and already laying eggs.
but are in a community tank. so the babies ends up getting sucked by the powerhead... :( or eaten by other fish.

Do you know what genus it is?

If not, check the cat-elog.
