Red Tail Catfish sheding ???

Red Tail Catfish sheding ???

Over the last few days my Red Tail has been sheding
his skin. Is this a sickness or a normal thang that happens
too catfish ???

Although my initial reaction was that this is not normal, it appears that they do this. Here's a recent thread about it:

Occasionally my redtail would shed a little skin but I read somewhere that this was ok but not in vast amounts. I don't know much about it myself but I would suggest reading up on it.

If it happens too often I would guess that foul water is possibly the problem. I would do a good size water change. When in doubt, always do a water change.
