Water temps

Post by Jim Floyd »

Hello,

I'm a new member, been keeping Synodontis species for several years. Currently have S. brichardi (4), S. eupterus (1), S. petricola (4).

Can anyone direct me to a site that has average annual water temperatures for the Congo River and the Malebo Pool?

My brichardi are kept at room temperature, with highly agitated water maintained by wet/dry filter and heavy duty pump. The others are kept at "tropical" temps, but I'm wondering if the standard window of 78-80 degrees F is correct.

Absolutely! Thanks very much. It is printing right now and will peruse the paper over a cup of coffee.
