Post by Mika »

That book you want is here.

The ISBN is 4416704607, if it helps in searching.

And if you are interested in more Japanese aquarium fish books, just search for last three words of the main title ("tropical fish" in Japanese).

I had time to search little more, but the problem is that i could only get 35 results for aquarium books or i just couldn`t figure it out.there should be plenty of them fo sale.
What could be the search words for catfish and freshwater stingray/ray?

This is a pretty good book (for pictures at least). The title should not be confused with the Kobayakawa book. I bought my copy in Singapore.

http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/4895125157/

I am told a second edition is already out.

I "reviewed" a different Japanese freshwater fish book in another forum. Contact me if you are interested in the link.

Is either edition available in the US?

Also, anyone interested in tankbusters should check out the Japanese books, Monster Fishkeepers Vols. 1-4. Pics are awesome, to bad I can't read them!!

don't know if this will work, but:

catfish: ナマズ

freshwater: 淡水

lotsa luck! I have a friend in Japan who might be able to help with translation if need be . . .
