mustard cactus pleco - any experience?

Post by gibbylover2 »

my LFS has what i believe to be pseudacanthicus sp 4 - mustard cactus pleco, as identified in this website. they have called it leopard pleco (as an leopard cactus pleco) but i don't think it's pseudacanthicus leopardus. just wondering if anyone has kept these fish. look cool.

have 2 gibbies and a gold nugget in a 40 g, will get a 6 foot tank. just wondering how big they grow. will 4 big plecos be too much? (may put some top level fish - thinking zebras, glass catfish, (because of the current) and swords (in the 6 foot.

oh gosh, that doesn't sound good. i couldn't help myself and bought one anyway. there are so few cool plecs in my LFS - we're lucky to get gold nuggets, let alone anything like a zebra plec. it's in the quarantine tank at the moment by itself (and one baby guppy) then will be on to the 3 foot tank. the plecs there are all bigger than it anyway, and there are lots of hiding places.
