10 gallon with kuhli loaches

Post by Taratron »

Looking to get more into breeding the corydoras...since I finally had luck getting my bronze to spawn! :D Go Taratron, after a year of trying, she got her cories to have sex!

....I digress. Anyway, the spare tank I have set up has sand substrate, heavily planted with java moss and hornwort and gobs of duckweed...and around 5 kuhli loaches I just can't catch. I'm looking to toss some cories in said tank and hopefully get them to spawning condition. Yes, I know the loaches will gobble up any eggs they can, which is why I'll be ready with the razor to pull the eggs away!

The two cory species I have in mind to try this would be either panda cories, or the habrosus pygmies. I'd only want one species, mind you, but are either of these good "beginner" cories to try and spawn? I tried paletus earlier, but the stock around here is rather poor, and I'd rather not have to ship in these guys.

So, habrosus or panda, or what other suggestions? :)
But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I will be unique in all the world..... You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.
