Cory. aeneus breeding success

Post by jeremy »

Accidental, but a success anyway.
My son has a 60litre south american set up tank, going for approx 14mths. Corys have been in for around 6mths. He overslept and missed first lesson at college and by complete fluke he noticed shielded eggs between pelvic fins. First spawning/fertilising around 25 mins, then approx every 15mins.Mainly stuck to glass. Noticed some other fish start eating them so moved them to an inner nursery tank. Approx 250 eggs!!!
Anyway, whats the best food for the fry and how long before they can take larger foods?
