c. narcissus & c. panalensis (c. 05)

Post by ducky »

im thinking of getting some of these soon and i'd like to know whether or not they are easy to keep. they will be housed temporarily in 2' tank with a pair (hopefully) of b. britskii. will they be okay to keep in trio (2m/1f)

my water ph is ~7.5 not sure about the hardness ...i think its quite soft as i used to breed discus without problem.

any tips on caring and sexing these babies would be appreciated.

cheers

deds,

I have had experience with C. narcissus and they require super clean well oxygenated water. Your pH of 7.5 shouldn't be a problem. If your water is quite soft that is good as well. Narcissus are very difficult to breed. A trio of 2m/1f is fine. Best of luck with them. I have been trying to get some for quite while.

The narcissus are fine with smaller Corys. As far as sexing, viewed from above the females are larger and more rotund.
