Iron Chef America
I was saddened as i watched the show last night, their secret ingrediant was channel catfish. They took them fresh outta the tank and to a cutting board. Almost brought a tear to my eye. Yea i'm a softy, but what can i say, it was sad.

wellll,
catfish ARE edible, it's a fact.
in almost any community where there's catfish around, they make up a large portion of the fish on the market and thus in the kitchen.
they're very easy to cook or fry; and much more fun to eat than say, carp or bass with all those tiny bones in them.
I've had my share; including fish wich I know as 'pets' as well (pleco's, kwikwi's etc)
to take the fish from the tank and chop his head right off might seem barbaric, but it's actually quite humane, since it's killed so fast....
FAR better than being hauled up, and spend the next few hours gasping for air on the deck of a ship or on the shore.
