Does Anyone Have/Had a Synodontis Angelicus?

Post by pherfect »

Hi everyone, I am thinking of getting a Synodontis Angelicus and was wondering about their temperment. I get mixed signals about how peaceful they may or may not be. It would share a 180 gallon with severums, clown loaches, rosy tetras, and 6 fancy plecos. The tank is far from being over crowded. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, pherfect

pherfect,

I have had at least one S. angelicus for as long as I can remember. S. angelicus are territorial in nature. You have a large tank with no other Synos so there should not be any problem. It is one of my favorites and well worth keeping. S. angelicus are glutonous eaters and easy to keep in a tank of your size.

I would think that mix would be just fine, if you give him a nice cave to hide out in. I've kept them with everything from cichlids to community fish without any problems, as long as they weren't with each other or having to compete for hiding spots.
