Found this very pale thing in a Tank with Mbunas, 1 nigriventris male (which i also picked up see back of pic - and has found his colors again)

Erwin wrote me via mail that this could be gambiensis/schall but looks a bit different due to the missing base colors

I cannot say with certainty what it is. I think it is a spotted species that will grow big (such as S. iturii).

just as a sidenote after one day the pectorals have now turned to (almost) black also the base color has gotten a silverish (maybe a bit greenish) shine. Curious how itll look in a planted tank...

I know I've seen these before but Synodontis acanthomias is the closest thing I could find.
