Corydoras mycropsis
Does anyone now this species? Is it at all valid, or a synonym for something else?
I found it at a danish fishstores homepage, newer heard about it, so did some searching. Only hit with some info was on a german importers list, where the size was listet as 1,5-2,0 cm - 0.6 inches.
Unfortunately, there was no pic of any of the sites.
Anyone know what this is or where I can find info and a picture?
Thanks

Corydoras mycropsis is the trade name for Corydoras pygmaeus. Found it in the export list of Brazil-Import
http://www.brazil-import.at/webseiten/Z ... hliste.htm with the corresponding German name as "ZWERGPANZERWELS".
Zwergpanzerwels ,literally meaning dwarf corydoras, is the German name for Corydoras pygmaeus:
http://www.zierfischverzeichnis.de/ordn ... gmaeus.htm
But given the generality in the name, it could well apply to Corydoras habrosus or even Corydoras hastatus (though it is Sichelfleck Panzerwels in German).
Given the size of those you described, one of these could likely to be the species on the list, with the greatest possibility being Corydoras pygmaeus of course.
Cheers,
