New sarcoglanidine trichomycterid described

Post by mattc »

Some Brazilian ichthyologists have described a new sarcoglanidine from a location near Sao Paulo:

Costa, WJEM., Lima, SMQ., Carlos Roberto, SF and SF Bizeril (2004) - Microcambeva ribeirae sp. n. (Teleostei: Siluriformes: Trichomycteridae) a new sarcoglanidine catfish from the Rio Ribeira do Iguape basi, southeastern Brazil. Zootaxa. 563: 1-10.

There's a (free) full PDF of this paper on the Zootaxa website if you're interested.
