feeding plecs

Post by dag »

I'm always reading that plecs eat veggies if you give them to them , but niether of mine seem interested. I have tried celery , zucchini , cucumber , lettuce , spinach so far . I have tried both cooked , raw , and slightly cooked and put them in all locations in both day and night . Any suggestions ? One is a common sailfin and the other is a bristlenose and both are fat and sassy . Is it possible that they prefer the wafers or what ?
thanks

I think they are not seeing the veggies as food. Starve them and offer them nothing but the veggies.

My plec never used to see veggies as food but does now. Might take time that's all.
I've also starting feeding my Gibby by hand - he rises to the surface and sucks on food if i hold it for him ! the lazy sod!!
