L121 / L135 worm line P.

now I got five L135, swimming in a 150 l tank. It should be kept like a normal Peckoltia or Hypancristus, I guess.
Although, information on this Rio Negro-species is very rare.

Is there anyone here having special experiÃ©nce in keeping this species or breeding it ?
Or informative links / literature ?

Have you had any luck with breeding the 5 L135, since the last post?

I have recently acquired 6 L135, and am now searching for some guidelines/experience on breeding of the Worm line Peckoltia.

Hi

no, no breeding up today. I got 3 males und 2 females. The males discovered a cave each, but are sitting more before their than inside (like e.g. L134).
The females are allowed to come into the territories of the males....
Weak water pH about 6 and temperature around 28Â°C makes them feel fine.
When feeling good, the colour of their neck changes to a light grey, eben more visible at the females than at the males..
One pair sometime is swimming up and down together at the frontside of the tank..gone see what happens in the future...

Thats a good sign...the males want to breed so you have to convince the females to be pregnant

I have no experince to breed these species yet (I have to buy them first).

joern: What do you feed them? Perhaps a small change of diet could condition the females?

Just waiting to get hold of a bigger tank to set up a proper setting for my L135.

Nothing very impressive at the moment. Only av FAN-3 AquaEl internal filter.

Thees guys do deserve better! And they will get it, when i get the money to get them a dedicated 120L. Then theyll get more space and a better pump.

Bilby junior: The caves are made og simple slate, glued with silicone (aquarium type). I have thies caves in a Ancistrus sp. tank, and the male loves them! Had 2 spaws of ancistrus sp in the ancistrus tank, in the slate caves.

Just a thought, these fish sell for $400 to $500 each at 4 to 5cm here in Australia, what do they sell for in the other countries?

Wow, I just bought my L135 today. I'm pretty pleased with my new purchase. Those plecos are so cool. Looking forward to learning all about these fish.

Hi guy's any updates on your 135's, any spawnings?
We are about to move ours from there 240ltr tank to a 360 ltr tank.
The colour variants from fish ot fish is huge(lighter or darker colourings)and they are very active with males guarding caves and the females going from cave to cave to see whats going on, sometimes stoping to fight with the guarding male but no breeding yet, this has been going on for months now.....How are yours doing?

Any luck fellas?

About a year ago, bought a dozen tiny "clown plecos" for $3.00 apiece. They were actually a mixed group of L-135/169. All are reaching 7-8cm, so its time to get to work.

Probably follow Janne's regimen for L-134. Can anyone add to that with a success story?
