Hoplosternum Species

Post by Beersnob »

I was wondering if this was a typo for the maximum size of this fish. I have seen for the 2 larger species 6-8" and 8-9" in total length. The Cat-E-Log states under 5" in length.

Are the books I have correct? Is the Cat-E-Log correct?

Thanks,

Which species are you refering to? There are 3 species listed and all grow to different lengths. The magdalenae stay around 4 inches sl. while the pectorale are much bigger.
