Hoplo bubblenest ......... HELP

Post by bigward »

Firslty let me say that I have never bred catfish - I have looked at ALL the info I can find.
I have put my male hoplo and a gravid female in a breeding tank with a sponge filter and a 8"x8" ceiling tile on the top ......... 3 days later there is bubble's all over the top of the tank :D

My question is this ....... are the eggs easy to spot ? - all I can see is loads and loads of bubbles

Cheers

Bigward,

I was never able to find eggs and just had to rely on the size of the female as a sign that spawning had occured.

Impossible only means that somebody hasn't done it correctly yet.
