Which algae eater ?

Post by jurassic_pork »

I just got my first L number plec,The thing his i dont think he's very big on eating the algae from the tank side's and front,The L pleco i have is L018,Can anyone recommend a small but efficient efficient agae eater which is compatible with the pleco ? I was thinking along the line of otocinculus.
Any help or advice is much apreciated :)

How big is the tank?

Ancistrus spp are the best algae eaters IMHO. But otos are very good as well.

It's just a small 30 gallon tank which i am using while getting a 150 gallon sorted out,So i'll only be using it for a year or so,I recon that an otto will be fine but was also thinking a bristlenose as i heard these are good algae eater that also stay relatively small ?
