Hope everyone is doing well.
Can I add newly hatched baby l397 plecos to 2-3 week old l397 babies.
Just wondering if the larger ones would see the yolk sac as a source of food
I would say it's safer to let the newly hatched fry sit in a seperated egg tumbler/ container. When they have consumed their yolk sack, you can safely add them to the main tank.

I never remove eggs nor wigglers from tanks. The only time I pull free swimming fry is when there are way too many in the breeder tank or if they are large enough to be sellable.
My way is not the only way but it has worked for me for many years. But I am a hobby breeder not a business.

Thanks for your message!
I been following you for years and really appreciate your insights
I seem to be on a roll with eggs and have quote a few batches. I had to put winglers with 1 week Olds and so far looks good
I leave mine to their own devices. I have 3 adult males and 2 females that breed regularly. I have 0.5" fry up to 3" sub adults roaming around the driftwood in a 200g tank. I only took the fry from the male the first time I spotted fry. After that I have just let them be. They seem to do better without any intervention from my part.
