Thank you. There are some hurdles remaining, hopefully just bureaucratic but who knows what can come up as a result of getting a business license and the final municipal inspections. What remains now is we need to get a permit for an "unpermitted" building structure, that is the pavilion/lanai housing the 25K exhibit, and then pass the final fire/electric/safety inspection.

Here is the latest video you are referring to:

Very impressive. How come that sturgeon is so docile?

Thank you. IDK. These is our first significant experience with sturgeon, let alone the belugas. Maybe that the way they all are, or maybe that's the way the farmed ones are, quite used to human handling. Ever since we got them, they were never afraid of us whatsoever. Plus, they seem to be exceedingly primitive fish with little awareness of keeper, self, aggressive tank mate, etc.

Of the sturgeon? No. Not for our use anyway. The sturgeon are lent by donation for lifetime and they and what they produce doesn't belong to us but to our gracious lender, the farmer. If we get that lucky, Mr. Mark Zaslavsky will decide what to do with the sturgeon eggs.

These appear to be as close to the wild ones as koi to common carp. I read the wild ones are usually(?) nondescript grey color. Don't quote me, I am cichlid-challenged. Rookie.

Always top tier videos, wish I also had reptiles lurking around the house! Only downside living in such a climate are the snakes I guess ;) Beautiful fish in matching boxes, I also prefer the natural finage though.

Thank you for your kind word, albeit I beg to differ on the top tier :) Plenty downsides other than poisonous pit vipers that live here. E.g., hurricanes, severe tropical storms, bugs, heat + high humidity for half a year, sharks, alligators... unpredictable people, but that's the same in Sweden I guess :)

I am always amazed at the size of your tanks and fish. Imagine how many corys could go in one of those tanks! :))

Thanks for sharing.

I second the notion above! I realise it's not truly your thing, and that you run a rescue of sorts, but has it never been a bit tempting to just use one of all the tanks for something like a massive cory school or why not a 10.000 guppies? Now I would also like to keep large fish one day but I doubt I could show enough restraint to not just try it once haha.

Haha... a cormy! A cory army. Thank you guys. It is tempting indeed. Problem is we ain't got enough tanks to cover our basic ops. When we do and have even a surplus of tanks, then we'll consider. For now, this remains but wishful thinking.
