Re: 418 or 191?
I asked someone. "Interopucular odontodes in titan [ L418 ] tend to be yellow, so L191 is more likely. "

Agree with Dave but it is hard to say as the fish is not showing relaxed colours as on a black, bare, base.

So because of the black base his colors are normal? I know at one point he had yellow tips at the point of his dorsal and ends of his pectorals.

No, he's darker probably because of the base. L191 should be black spots on a dark grey base. Depending on size too - what size is your fish excluding the tail fin?

OK, so right size. You'd need to keep him in lower light with a substrate to see the natural colours.

Couple close ups of head region. He is going in another tank with substrate and dimmer old T8.

Re: 418 or 191?
I have the same question: L418 or 191? I purchased two Panaques as a L027s from Liveaquria.com, about 2" long, in Jan. 2018. They had a distinctive white ring at the peduncle that disappeared after a few month of rapid growth. Now they have about 6-inch total-length and look closer to L418 or L191 than L027. What do you the community think? Thanks!

Re: 418 or 191?
Hi,
because of the yellow seam in the caudal fin the fish of DLTJR seems to be L418.
The fish of Runtunt is clearly L191 from Colombia.
Regards Fabian
