No problem, I keep young BN in all of my breeder setups. Just know that BN grow quickly and that once they're mature they will start competing for caves.
Interests: Fish of all types but mostly Loricariidae, Callichthyidae and Auchenipteridae. My awesome dogs and walking through nature and taking pictures.
Foodwise it's absolutely wrong. Ancistrus should be fed on a herbivore diet. They will eat the carnivores foods which you feed to your Hypancistrus. The Ancistrus will end up in trouble some how.
Depending on your feeding habits, jac has a point. I feed a very wide variety of foods to all my Pleco groups. Never had issues with BN in any of my Hypancistrus or Peckoltia breeding tanks.
thanks, I've been dropping Hikari algaE wafers into the tank.
my L316 are shy and i seldom see them, but i drop Hikari shrimp pellets for them at night.
Won't Hypans eat algae wafers?
I also have Indian almond leaves in the tank.
