Hi Eric,
I agree with the above - nice, interesting and useful research.
Two things:
1. Could you please provide a reference for the work (workshop? conference? or whatever).
2. I think that this piece is worthy of moving into the Taxonomy and science news forum.

Hi Lee,
Thank you.
Reference: http://sicb.org/meetings/2018/schedule/ ... hp?id=1566
As for placement in science forum, that's fine by me (although I don't have the power to move the thread).
I didn't post it there originally because it's been my understanding that publications typically get in that thread, not posters. I know there have been exceptions, but that's my experience.
Cheers, Eric

Hi Eric,
Thanks for the follow up and reference.
Eric - "I didn't post it there originally because it's been my understanding that publications typically get in that thread, not posters. I know there have been exceptions, but that's my experience."
Good information is good information whatever the format. Hopefully this will be considered for exception.

Re: Research on Corydoras toxins & self-poisoning
I would tend to advocate for "citable" not "published" as the cut-off. I can't go to many conferences but learning what came up at them is great. So you have a really interesting poster - great, I didn't go and see it, but I could cite it (if you give us that conference information).lfinley58 wrote: ↑06 Jan 2018, 20:51 Eric - "I didn't post it there originally because it's been my understanding that publications typically get in that thread, not posters. Repeated trivial posts (and you've made lots in the past few hours) are against forum rules. Your posts are on-topic and polite, so I would like to politely ask you to stop please.
Many thanks,
