I just checked the fish room and seen the L75 male acting like he has eggs......sure enough looking around the tank I found a couple eggs that got kicked or maybe they where laid before she got into the cave..... they didn't look to be fertile. Lets hope they rest are in better shape than the ones outside the cave!!
Thanks Tomer! Not sure how many are left in the cave..... but I know there are still some left in there so we will have to wait and see. I don't expect the first go around will always be great.... I am just happy they finally bred. It has been a long time coming.....
I think it must be the season, I am seeing fry all over my tanks. Some from plecos that haven't spawned on over a year.

Thanks Chris, I have a lot of plecs acting like they want to spawn as well...... I did take the TDS and temp up a bit and now have dropped both. We have also been having a few storms lately so I think that may have helped as well. Hopefully we both get a lot of fry before they are done!
About 30 where bad so far..... I think he damaged them when he kicked them. They all look ok at first but some soon start to go light in color, so I have been checking every hour or so putting any he kicked into the fry saver and removing any that are starting to go light in color.

Keep them well. I've lost a lot of pleco babies right at that age.
Will do..... one thing I have learned over the 14 years of breeding plecs is you can't prepare for everything that can happen. Granted, most of the problems I have had with eggs/wigglers/fry was my fault.... I hope I have learned from my mistakes and try to never repeat them.

Yup me too. Usually a clogged filter. I've made significant changes to avoid that now, but still no guarantees.
This is just so cool. I don't even know, if these guys have been tank bred before by hobbyists?
Congrats! Best of luck with these fry. Let's hope the parents will keep going
I had a few of them escape during the night so today I moved them to a different tank...... used the water from parent tank to fill it and all are doing fine. Looks like they are just starting to get a little color to them if you look closely.
