i have L066 that i want to know his sex,
what do you say? male or female?

Hey there,

it is really hard to tell from this pictures alone. I would tend to a female. But it's far from a clear call. You might want to add pictures from the dorsal (top) view.

hi jobro,
hard to get dorsal view
shes all the time at the glass near the filter(reminds me the L128 i had).
lets wait a month or two to see if shes round at her belly ;)

How big is she now? Also, do the odontodes on her "gill plates" look long?

Female, imo. Tube is down in top pic and it is blob shaped. Male's would be more pointy, like a V.

hi,
aprox 10-11 cm
adult female
she is out of the cave like the other female
and another one always in the cave maybe male

I have always found it best to sex plecs with pictures from above. Venting them can be useful but can also be subject to interpretation. What I mean by that is sometimes a male can look to be female and a female can look to be male.
Also.... I have females that like to cave up and I have seen males (subdominant males) that didn't really cave up.....
