My LFS has a royal pleco that is abotu 6 inches it is $45 is that a good price if so i need some info on them becuase i would think about getting them if there not a real hassel i know nothing about them so i wanna get some info first thanx in advance for any help

im guessing i wouldnt be able to keep it in a 55gal so should i forget about getting it or can the be kept ina 55gal or will they out grow it

think ull be able to keep it that tank just fine.

that tank size seems allright, and they grow fairly slow.

At 6" his growth rate has slowed dramatically. He will probably be okay in a 55 for several more years. I've had one in a 55 for 1.5 years now. He's gone from 5" to 6" in that time. They really like current. I got a small sub. pump (Rio 90) and placed near his fav hiding spot.
Plecos are the true centerpieces of any aquarium. Everything else just swims around them!!

would it do fine also with a pair of Sevrums also if it would is $45 a good price for them and also what should i look for to make sure it looks healthy i dont wanna spend that much on a sick fish or anything

in theory wise.. is it possible to breed different types of royal - golden line, green, orange etc and come up with new variation?

45 sounds normal for a 6 inch royal, there are some 4 inch and smaller royals at my LFS going for around 30. will depend on your local market, 45 sounds like the high side of average I think.
