CW008 breeding?
Yesterday I scored some CW008 aka gold striped elegans in a local shop. Unfortunately I have not been able to find much info on this cory.
Anybody that bred this species? I would love to hear your experiences!

Re: CW008 breeding?
Hi,
supposed to be easy to breed, but with small eggs. Rarely seen species nowadays, but with some great colour markings.

cheers
Daniel

Danke Daniel!
Do you happen to know whether they are floating spawning mop spawners or more substrate spawners aka in java moss or similar?

Try leaves, like from oak or beech trees, but you might get Catappa much easier which works as well of course. Use soft and acid water as the base, and change with warm water.
Good luck!

Re: CW008 breeding?
I have some Corydoras sp(c123), which are also in the Elegans lineage, and have yellow fins. Mine spawn on the glass usually, in groups of 10-20 eggs. The eggs are quite small.

Re: CW008 breeding?
Thanks for the tips and info!
Oak leaves galore!
So, if I understand it right, these fish prefer warmer water for spawning contrary to the species that are triggered by colder water?
