Spatuloricaria caquetae - holding eggs
Is this a Spatuloricaria caquetae? I have to large males and 2 females and I noticed that this one was flicking its head so I took a closer look and found it holding a large clutch of eggs since last Thursday. 240g tank planted - pH7.8 very hard water TDS 460-480 and temp of 84F. I've been feeding beefheart, bloodworms, and shrimp pellets.

Hi,
I don't think so, the males of Spatuloricaria spp. have very long spines at the cheeks that should be visible in the pics.
This might be a Loricaria species, in a close pic of the mouth would help.
