L137 breeding in captivity?

Post by PaperDoves »

I have an L137, he's about 6 inches long. The other day I put some pleco caves in there for the bns, well the L137 has taken possession of one of them. He's in the classic stance, head inside the cave, tail out and waving it around.

Should I try to find a girlfriend for him?

My males of other species, do this, could be worth thinking about getting him a female, but adult plecos are more difficult to source sometimes. Also reading through the breeding logs and how easy or difficult to breed them may give you some pointers.
Edit just checked in on the info page, not been done yet, could be a challenge. That can either be seen as a good or bad thing:-)
Thanks Teresa

I read that there are no prior records of these breeding successfully. I don't know if I'm up for a huge challenge lol.
