Breed Synodontis multipunctatus without host
Does anyone have any tips for breeding S. Multipunctatus without a host cichlid?

Re: Breed Synodontis multipunctatus without host
I have heard of them occasionally scattering eggs over gravel when host fish are not present, I have not done this method myself.
Not sure if anyone has raised the young this way but I see no reason it is not possible.
As usual with Synodontis keeping the eggs from being eaten by the breeders themselves would be the first task.

Do you think they could be spawned in a similar manner as lucipinnis/petricola?

The breeder in the link below harvests the eggs from female multipunctatus but how do you think he fertilizes them?
