Has anyone got any idea what this is?
It's some kind of infection, not a wound from banging into something.

Here a run down of the tank

Tropical set up with Discus, Tetras, cories and plecos
Temp 28-29
pH 6.7
All water parameters are in spec.
150cm x 60 x 70
Rocks, Wood, Sand and a few plants
Currently running a Fluval FX5 and a AquaOne Nautilus 2700

This tank has been running for 2 years now. I di approx 30% water change weekly.

This is the latest fish to be added, approx 2 weeks ago.

I'm using tetra color and JBL novofect tabs daily

I have added salt and have increased the water changes to daily.
I was thinking of adding some Melafix.

Cheers

If he was mine, I would swab the spot with iodine, being careful to avoid his eyes and gills. Is he being forced to hide behind a heater somewhere?

Thanks Barbie

It's is looking better every day now.

No need to hide behind the heater in here. He actually hangs out in plants on the back glass on the right.
