Triggering a spawn.

In the hopes that some of the more experienced cory breeders will share what has helped them. I will share what has worked for the spawns that I have accomplished.

Corydeoras aeneus, I had them in a bare bottom tank at about 5 and a half feat off the floor. I was doing water changes and after I changed there water, I noticed them placing eggs on the glass, once there where about 30 eggs I pulled the adults and placed them in a different tank.
Corydoras paleatus, The first time I spawned these I did them the same as listed above. I have had much better luck with these keeping them in a tank with a fine sand substrate. Live plants in the tank cool water water changes with water that is softer then the water I am keeping them in.
Corydoras sterbai, sand bottom, live plants, spawning mops in the tank, conditioned them with black worms, cool water soft water water changes, no luck until I increased the tank temp I was keeping them at to 82.
Corydoras duplicareus, Spawned these at about 72 degrees. sand bottom, live plants, spawning mops, cool water softer water water changes, nothing really worked until I changed the sex ratio to 6 males to 2 females.
Corydoras trilineatus, Sand bottom, live plants, spawning mops in the tank, conditioned them with black worms, cool water soft water water changes. Rather then pulling the mops, or collecting eggs was not working for me but I noticed that I have fry appearing in the tank but not surviving, so I dumpped enough dried oak leaves in to leave a couple of inches of leaf litter on the bottom. Once I did this the fry started surviving in the leaf litter until they were large enough to move into a hatchery tank.
C120s, Same as the Corydoras trilineatus.

I have a number of other groups, which I have not been able to get to spawn, so I am wondering what others have done.

Currently trying to trigger spawns in cw10, cw52, Corydorus rabauti,Corydoras arcuatus,Corydoras leucomelas, and Corydoras ambiacus. Any pointers on what has worked for others would be appreciated.

Did you ever succees in spawning your

Corydoras ambiacus

? I've got some adults, and I'm curious as to whether you've made progress. Perhaps wrongly, it's been my impression that both C. ambiacus and C. agassizii are commonly captive bred, but there is a surprising paucity of info on spawning either of these species.

And to anyone else who reads this, if you have spawned ambiacus or agassizii, I'd sure like to learn from you - so far there are no BLOG entries for either of these species, and on CorydorasWorld, I couldn't find spawning reports (either from Ian or other members) either. I can't believe the spawns haven't happened, but I just can't find references!

At this moment, in a 15 gallon tank, I have: 12 pandas (adult), 10 sterbai (3 cm), 9 schwartzi (adult) and 5 agassizii (adult).... They live great, they spawn, they are happy. I know they are very limited on space (I am working on a breeding setup for each species and rearing tank to start a serious breeding program)

@PabloG, do you mean to suggest that your agassizii have spawned for you? If so, what can you tell us about them? Thanks, Eric

I have gotten cw10 and cw52 spawns out of that list Eric.

Thanks, and congratulations. I'm still waiting to find out if my fry, now about 3-4 weeks old, are ambiacus.
