L046 : colony size? and types?

Post by Beagly »

G'day all

I have a couple of questions for all of you knowledgeable people, about these lovely Zebs

1: I notice most of the breeding colonies seem to have about 5 - 7+ fish in them.
Why is this?
Would a breeding pair be ok in a tank? (What tank size would you recommend)
Would a colony of one male and two females be okay in a tank? (What tank size would you recommend)

2: I have heard of the two types of L046 and L098 as being referred to as temperate and equatorial. Does anyone know anything about this info?

Thanks for any help you can provide. :D

Hi Beagly,

Have you read the articles in Shanes World, or the iCOSA Ancistrinae internet lecture? There is a TON of information about spawning your zebras in there. You can also check HERE for more information that might help :)
