syno. Ocellifer real or not

Post by tomr »

In all the stores they are offering 1-2 syno ocellifers for sale. they are pretty cheap(about$6) , Are they real? They look right but I didn't know anyone was breeding them.

They have been bred in Florida. Did you take any pics? Pics go a long ways to aid in identification. The cost does sound a little low.

Hard to say from the pic, but it doesn't look like a hybrid.

I agree, unfortunately it is a bad picture for identification.

I do not think the spots look right though.

Not a great pic for a good ID, but does the adipose look too small?

Jacob: Yeah not with another fu**!ng guy!
Lou: It's still a three-way!

My first thought was - but I agree that a better pic is needed if better opinions are to be offered.

looks like a hybrid to me ,

i have kept ocellifer in the past and the ones i had were more light grey in colour with
bold spots and even with the poor pic i still think they are hybrids
