Kryptopterus vitreolus revisited

Post by Silurus »

Ng, HH & M Kottelat, 2013. A name for the glass catfish (Teleostei: Siluridae) revisited. Zootaxa 3640: 299–300.

It turns out that the name may not be construed as available the first time around because we did not explicitly indicate that this is a new species (contravening Article 16.1 of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature).

What's the procedure in this case? Quickly publish an erratum using the same name?

That would be the easiest solution.

Annoying, but on the plus side, it's an extra publication ;)
