Mate, did you just get these fish or have you had them for sometime, and what are you feeding them ?

I don't have the first 4 of them quite long, like 4 days or so.
The other ones are here 1 year.
I give them dry food and frozen food.

They are since yesterday in there tank all by themselfs, so I know they have to fatten up.
On picture they are really skinny, but they have a full belly when I saw them in my hand.

Not having a go fella, but like you have already said they all look seriously stressed and under weight to me, I would fatten them All up, not just the four new additions,
They might not have sunken bellys but they are all still to skinney, give it a couple of months and then re post.
What kind of set up have you got ? are they having to try to compete for food ?

I don't think they look that bad. Stress coloration, yes. But that is nothing serious and now the fish are in a tank by themselves I know Brecht will get them in breeding condition just fine. Give it some time.

hmmm, if you can could you put a ruler inside with them so we could determine eachs length?

I'm not 100% but just rapid fire answer I would say: 1)M 2)M 3)F* 4)M 5)F 6)M 7)M 8)F 9)F? 10)F. now don't follow this because I'm not sure of their size and specific characteristics such as odontodes but for now, that's what I would say.

Barbie is really good at this.

Thanks for the reply's.

I will condition them the next few months and see if something happens, if not we can always catch them again and take some better pictures, also from the side.
But as I said, I will condition them now with some good frozen foods and a lot of water changes.

Honestly, it usually screams at me which one they are, and these are just awfully hard to tell. If you will also warm them up for a few months, I think we'll have no problem helping you. In this condition, the more arched pectoral rays should be female, thickened ends and more of a straight flare will be male. Something in the pictures for size reference would also help. If it's any help, I'm quite sure you have some of both sexes ;).
