In Practical Fishkeeping Dec. 2003:
"Fish tapeworms are considered a human delicacy in some countries. The large larvae of a tapeworm known as Ligula (which infests the cavities of roach and other cyprinid fish) are fried with garlic and butter."
Well, I did warn you.

Actually tapeworms MIGHT look similar to noodles or say.. spaghetti! Garlic and butter doesn't give much color to it, but by adding tomato, the problem would be solved!
A little touch of basislicum to balance the taste, a well chosen bottle of wine, and VOILA!..
Bon apetit..
Hmm I'm a bit curious about WHERE they eat such "exotic" stuff?!

What are you doing here? This is a Catfish site, for Catfish people! We'll have none of your Cichlid propaganda round here! Be off with you!S-Cat7 wrote:I removed several from some roach which I autopsied some weeks ago. I threw them away as I have lots in formalin. I was only responding to a topic with which I am familiar! Besides, since when are roach related to cichlids? You need to get your taxonomy sorted out; but with a phylogeny like yours I am not surprised you are behind the times.
I could talk about some of the parasites I have removed from catfishes.........but I have never tried eating them!
