Auchenoglanis ???

Can you help me guys? I can't say anything about this anymore. Seems that it is small species, I got it in 2009 and it was already around 15cm(TL). Now it is not more than 25cm(TL), still groving but very slowly. The guy I bought this from said it came from Tanganyika area.

Auchenoglanis senegali

Key features I see are the spot pattern on the body and the caudal...greyish color and the grey barbels, in the second image it shows the highest point in the adipose is halfway as opposed to the posterior of the fin, only two of the current species are like this.
Tooth patch shape would say for sure, it is unique...we would have to figure out how to discern tooth pad shape, if it can be done with a photo of the mouth I am not sure at the moment.

That does not go with being from around Lake
Tanganyika but everything else points me to senegali.

Cute indeed. Looks a lot like a couple of 5"-ers I had for 2 years. They almost didn't grow. Don't have any better pics: under a big hybrid syno and in the low right corner... I don't expect any comments on these shots... on the opposite spectral end of Jippo's.

You're right, I can see it now. At revision photo of senegali spots looked so different but they are in fact quite much same that my fish have.

That Tanganyika area can be wrong, as you know African importers are not so reliable...
