I have found the growth rate of all hypancistrus to be painfully slow. I currently keep L46, L340, L400, and L450. And I have had L333s in the past, although those seemed to grow a bit faster than most. Good luck.

I have not kept 270s or 411s. I have kept the other 2, as well as L046s, L400s, L450s, L340s. As a rough estimate, I would say between 3 and 4 years to reach maturity. Just a rough estimate. Good luck.

I ask b/c I recently added a group of L46s.

They are all around 2.1-2.25'' and I was wondering what there age where...assuming all other variables are optimum.

My best guess would be that they are close to 3 years old.
