what corys in my new tank?

Post by siluriphil »

Hi,

I´m looking for new Corys in my new Tank. The tank is 86x29x29cm (72L or 19 US.gal).
The first fish I like to have is and now I´m looking for Corys as tankmates. Maybe C.hastatus is an option but I need more suggestions.

Any ideas or experience with some combinations?

Cheers,
Mathias

Personally, I love regular bronze corys. They're very active, tough, and easy to feed. They don't bully any other fish in the tank. 5 or 6 should be fine in your tank. Another smaller option is the beautiful little panda cory, which is also small and peaceful. I have found that albino corys are usually more active than regular corys, so if you don't mind seeing little bits of fishes internal organs through their skin, these are great too. A school of 5 or 6 is great, and if you get pandas, you could get 7 or maybe even 8. Hope this helps!

I like my Corydoras habrosus. Small, but still use the bottom of the tank. Very active :) Pandas are a nice size as well.
