Need help with (to me) unknown catfish
Hi guys,
I have a question for you guys regarding a recent development in Catfish in the Netherlands.
Can anyone tell me what catfish this might be?
The species is freshwater based, size up to 180 cm in length, up to 45 kilograms in weight.
Currently being found in abundance in the Netherlands in the rivers, but i ain't sure WHAT catfish it actually is.
Even though it's in quite large numbers here, catching those still is prohibited by law, but currently under review.
Thanks for helping me out!

Cute shot! Does look like S. glanis. Hard to imagine anything else, especially in large numbers present there. There exist no other native European catfish except for the obscure Greek species that looks alike.

do you know of a way to view the whole episode on-line (not off of a DVD) ? Cannot find them on-line in the US - see this for a recent discussion:

Just like before, I cannot find it or them now either. As discussed above (see the link I provided), not all that's available in UK and/or Europe, appears to be also viewable in US. All youtube pulls up here are 2-3 one-minute snipets.
