Why are they all of a sudden so LAZY!?
Why are they all of a sudden so LAZY!?
I am so happy that I have gotten two albino Corys, but I wonder what happened to them?! When I got them they were so lively, and even the whole ride home, and when they were floated, and put into their new home! I am wondering, in a 10 gal. tank, would 2 Tablespoons of aquarium salt make them like that? My husband put aquarium salt into their tank after I read that they are very intolerant of it. What should I do? If it wasnt for their eyes moving, (even then) I couldnt tell they were alive. Or are they? They are just lying on the bottom on the gravel. I dont wanna lose my Corys!

Water change!
I have never had any issues with small amounts of salt in larger tanks but I never used it in one that small with Corydoras

What percent should I change the water? He did this last night. I had meant to say that he did it BEFORE I read that they are intolerant. If I leave it be and let the water cycle would that work too? Or would that end up killing them?

I dont know what your water is like or what filtration you use, but I have done 80% w/c out of the tap with no conditioners and had almost everything spawn within 3 days after in a 700L mixed tank, corydoras, L cats, whiptails and dwarf cichlids all went for it.
