Re: lda 25 pittbull plecs wanted
Look for any other Parotcinclus and similar species which may be mixed in with them like or They are other very nice species often accidentally mixed in among shipments of P. jumbo. I have had to search through many lots to acquire small groups but haven't seen any available since my last group died of old age a few years ago.

@ Larry. From recent experience here in the UK, both the speices are filtered out from imports of P.Jumbo

Bummer. They seem to have become scarcer over here, too.
I suspect their value has been recognized and their prices increased and more careful sorting begins sooner. I used to find a few in every batch of LDA 25 but not for the past few years.

Currently the prices seem comparable and H Leucofrenatus are quite available - i've seen them at Aquatic Designs (London) and MA Stratford-upon-Avon recently. P.Spilosoma are currently a little scarcer.apistomaster wrote:Bummer. They seem to have become scarcer over here, too.

But all are in single species batches

MA @ Guildford seems to have P. jumbo and P. spilosoma in the same tank. Around a fiver, IIRC.Richard B wrote:@ Larry. From recent experience here in the UK, both the speices are filtered out from imports of P.Jumbo
