What did you get for christmas?

Post by FunkyFredFrog »

If you got a present this holiday period let us all know what it was and why you love it so much!

I got the Aqualog L numbers Pleco book which is so packed full of great pictures of variants of the L numbers too! Just a great book!

I had to do my own Christmas shopping this year, but at least I know I'll be happy with what I got. They won't be here till Tuesday, but I got a group of six Oryzias woworae and twenty-five Corydoras hastatus.

I got lots of clothes and random stuff. I did get a Sega Genesis (with the original box) and seven games from my boyfriend though. This makes my 24th video game system, making video games my other hobby :)

We did also finally set up and finish our 375 gallon, which was our main present to each other.

Apart from an unusually bad hangover, some garish bjorn borgboxershorts & a rather smart mini toolkit i got a dozen Rasbora dorsiocellata (emerald eye rasbora) one of which turned out to be a tank bycatch of a vietnamese hovering loach, a new anubias coffeefolia (which i never seem to do well with)

Oh yes....& a cut above my eye where i got glassed in a pub (as an innocent bystander)

Jacob: Yeah not with another fu**!ng guy!
Lou: It's still a three-way!

If they are anything like the shirt that Richard wore to the last UK catfish convention, I do not think we need proof. Or if we do, stand about 10 feet back from the screen with two pairs of shades and earmuffs on.

Amongst other great things I got the "History of the Native Woodlands of Scotland" book, a portable camping sink (to be used as a foldable collecting bucket), some nosilife gear (http://www.craghoppers.com/webapp/wcs/s ... 5751_11051 - "The ultimate travel shirt, equipped for hot climates with permanent insect-repellency and no-niff antibacterial action. It's powerfully sun-protective; even shielding your sensitive neck with a flip-up SolarDry collar.") useful should I happen to find myself in the tropics and a Mercedes Benz golf towel. Eh? Jools? Golf? No danger seeing me on a golf course, but it rocks as a fish room towel as it comes with a hook.
